The Fundamentals of Portrait Drawing

In this drawing class, you will learn important fundamentals for drawing or painting realistic portraits. You will be introduced to new methods to better understand the structure of the human head and give your portraits depth. We will work on various exercises before progressing to portraits from photos. In the final session, we will draw from a live model.

The instructor will regularly demonstrate exercises or sketch a quick portrait before you work independently. We will support you with verbal feedback and correction drawings on tracing paper to address your individual questions and artistic challenges.

This drawing class is suitable for both beginners in portrait drawing and advanced students looking to solidify their foundational skills.
