Paint Alla Prima portraits from a model
In this advanced class, we paint exclusively from a live model – a new 3-hour pose each week. You will work alla prima, meaning wet-on-wet, and complete the portrait in one session. The instructor will continuously support you with your individual questions and problems. If possible, they will also paint a portrait so you can directly observe their technique.

Prerequisites for this painting class
This class is aimed solely at advanced students. You should already have experience in portrait painting. If you have never created oil paintings or are just starting out, we recommend our Basics Oil Painting class. In that class you could also paint portraits from photos.
Materials for Oil Painting
- 3 primary colors plus titanium white and burnt umber. Or just your usual colors.
- A handful of brushes
- Painting surfaces maximum 30-40 cm
- Painting medium, sealed container
- Mixing palette
- Paper towels or rags

Class Conditions
- Info: Please only pay when you receive an e-mail confirmation that the class is taking place.
- The class will only take place with sufficient bookings.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the class must pay the full price.
- If the class is cancelled by our side, you will get 100 % of your payments reimbursed.
